Synch Legal Partner to Nowo who recently Launched an Innovative Pension App

Synch has, since Nowo was founded, been the company’s main legal advisor; all the way through the interesting period from idea to commercial launch. Nowo recently announced the launch of its pension app and the SEK 18 million investment in the company by NFT Ventures together with a group of entrepreneurs.

Synch got in contact with Andreas Bonnier, the founder of Nowo, at an early stage, and was retained as the company’s legal advisor to assist the company from the very beginning. The legal advice provided by Synch concerned questions relating to company law, fund raising, trademark protection, processing of personal data, regulatory questions, employment law and contract law. Nowo also uses Synch’s digital services WeSynch. The support Synch has provided has been both strategic, such as helping Nowo to develop its business model, as well as “hands on” through for example participating in contract negotiations with Nowo’s partners. Synch’s team has mainly consisted of David Leffler, Anna Forsebäck, Peter Eriksson, Oskar Belani, Tobias Bergström and Johan Tydén.

Synch’s strategy in relation to startups is to assist the companies at an early stage and thereby building long term relationships with the clients. Many companies are in need of qualified legal counselling regarding various legal areas at a very early stage in their development, but at an early stage the companies often have very limited financial resources. By combining digital and standardized services with qualified legal advice, Synch’s offering is a high quality, yet cost efficient alternative, for startups.

– It is a challenge to work with startups; these companies have an extensive need of legal assistance but limited financial resources. Our collaboration with Nowo is an excellent example of how Synch successfully has managed to succeed in this challenge. We look forward to following Nowo on their journey, says Johan Tydén, one of Synch’s founders.

– We have received amazing support throughout this process of producing an innovative business model in an area affected by different regulatory systems with strong and well established players, a process which wasn’t always so easy. Synch’s commitment and understanding as well as solution oriented approach has really been fundamental in our process towards a commercial launch of our products so soon after starting our business. It is also very reassuring to have access to Synch’s digital services as a business support but also in making sure that we have control over our documentation and formalities during the rapid growth that we are experiencing, says Sven Estwall, Nowos CEO.
