Tech loves fashion – a fireside chat

Synch celebrates Stockholm fashion week 2016 by inviting some of our favourite fashion entrepreneurs with a tech twist (or tech entrepreneurs with a sense for fashion) for a cordial chat about their stories and the relationship between fashion and technology.

The event will take place on 1 February 2016, from 17-19. Please join us for a relaxed evening of founder stories, networking and drinks at our office at Birger Jarlsgatan 6, just a few steps from the catwalk, but with no dress code.

Confirmed participants include founders from Neue Labs (http://www.neue-labs.com/), APPRL (https://apprl.com/) and Dedicated Institute (http://dedicatedinstitute.org/#our-mission).

Take the opportunity to join by signing up for the event here or send an e-mail to event@synchlaw.se.

Welcome!

More information about the speakers:

Neue Labs is an innovative startup entering fashion tech. Learn about Neue Labs and its ground breaking “AUTOMAT”, a small and flexible platform for building personal IoT and wearables. AUTOMAT is built to boost creativity and create real products for professional creatives and designers in agencies, studios, innovation & R&D departments. Neue labs AUTOMAT quite simply makes great ideas happen.

APPRL connects inspiration and purchase by offering premium lifestyle media and influencers a toolbox which helps them monetise their content. A blogger can, for example, create a shop for her blog in a couple of minutes, tag her pictures with products and create interactive moodboards, all with products from the many of the world’s best online stores.

Dedicated Institute runs the project From Air. From Air is an innovation project building a new technology using greenhouse gas as feedstock to produce climate positive textiles. This project is a partnership with Borås Textile University in Sweden, the Smart Textiles program and leading innovators on carbon capture technology.

Journalist Anna Hedlund runs the blog Stil & Teknik, so far Sweden’s only Fashion Tech blog. During the past year she has written articles about 3D-printed fashion and our future wardrobes, and held a lecture on wearables and design at Textilhögskolan in Borås. Any time now, she’ll be launching a tech podcast with TV4 gadget expert Åsa Wallenrud. Anna will be moderating the event.
